About This Project

With a population that increased roughly 250 percent between 2000 and 2010, Holly Springs is rapidly becoming a destination within the Triangle. But as recently as 2008, the Town had only two event venues and no major hotels; visitors to the area were obliged to seek lodging in nearby Apex or Cary. To accommodate the Town’s rising popularity, Hilton Worldwide proposed the construction of a Hampton Inn just minutes from Holly Springs Towne Center.

As a subconsultant, WithersRavenel provided civil engineering, lighting design, permitting support, and construction phase services to develop the 3.94-acre parcel into a hotel with associated parking. The site and utility plans included building layout and setbacks, driveway connection to Ralph Stephens Road, internal parking areas, dumpster locations, street and perimeter landscaping, water and sanitary sewer systems, and on-site stormwater management facilities.
