12 Oct Experts in streets and fleets come together for conference
The American Public Works Association’s North Carolina chapter (APWA-NC) is hosting an event in Hickory that brings together municipal leaders and professionals from throughout the state focused on equipment and street services.
The annual APWA-NC Combined Equipment Services and Streets Divisions Annual Conference will be Oct. 13-15 at the Hickory Metro Convention Center. Highlights of the gathering include daily social and networking events, educational sessions and training, and awards banquets and prize drawings.
WithersRavenel Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) pilots Seth Swaim, PLS, GISP, and Travis Howell will make a presentation at the conference. “Drones and Data: Flying with Purpose” will be 1:30-2:30 p.m. Oct. 13. Attendees to the session will have the opportunity to receive a continuing education credit.
