NCAUG conference draws GIS leaders to Wilmington

The continually evolving field of Geographic Information Systems will bring together professionals from across the state for an annual conference on the coast.

The annual North Carolina ArcGIS Users Group (NCAUG) conference is set for Sept. 18-20 at the Hotel Ballast in Wilmington. The agenda includes workshops, presentations and an Esri Hands-On Learning Lab. Attendees will also have networking opportunities and time to browse vendor booths.

Esri founder and CEO Jack Dangermond will be keynote speaker at the conference. Not only is Dangermond recognized as a father of GIS, his company continues to be a worldwide leader in GIS services and innovation.

WithersRavenel’s Travis Howell, FAA Part 107 Pilot, will present a conference session on Friday morning on “Land, Air, and Sea Remote Sensing in GIS.”

Additionally, several pre-conference workshops are scheduled for Sept. 17-18. Proceeds from these learning opportunities support the NCAUG scholarship fund for GIS students. Additionally, a 50/50 raffle will also support the scholarship fund.

WithersRavenel is proud to be a sponsor of this annual event and a leader in GIS services in the state. Come out and visit our booth – we look forward to seeing you in Wilmington.
