What would it be like to be a designer for a day? Find out at the 2018 North Carolina Recreation and Park Association Conference!
Park Planner and Landscape Architect Shweta Nanekar, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP (BD+C) will host an interactive educational session called “Designer for a Day!” on Thursday, October 25, from 1:45 PM to 3:00 PM. Drawing on her experience with projects like Pleasant Park and many others, she will lead discussion and exercises that simulate the process of designing a park. Participants will work in groups to brainstorm ideas for park programming and explore the concept of “ideating.” By the end, everyone will have a better idea of what it takes to make a community park a reality.
