While applying for any type of grant requires a time commitment and is a competitive process, gathering relevant data and finding the best partner are keys to proving your system’s needs and winning funding for your community.
Webinar speakers included Amanda Whitaker, WithersRavenel Director of Funding, and Byron McAllister, mayor of the Town of Selma. Whitaker has been working on funding applications and associated projects for more than 15 years, and currently leads the team at WithersRavenel which has helped public sector clients earn more than $899 million in grant and loan funding.
McAllister’s funding experience in Selma includes a range of water and sewer infrastructure projects through the Town’s work with WithersRavenel, which has helped Selma secure more than $5 million in funding. He’ll offer insights into the process and strategies for success from a municipal perspective.
Luke Anderson, Strategic Solutions Consultant for Brightly, moderated the webinar. Anderson works with civic leaders to create capital improvement plans which help position communities for funding application success.
