Stormwater professionals from throughout the state are headed to the coast for a highly anticipated annual APWA conference.
The 2019 APWA-NC Stormwater Conference will be Oct. 20-22 at the Hotel Ballast in Wilmington. In addition to learning sessions, attendees can check out regulatory and legislative updates, and network with fellow professionals. Keynote speaker for the conference is Tom Looney of N.C. Oyster Blueprint.
WithersRavenel’s Hunter Freeman, PE, LEED AP, serves as the APWA-NC Stormwater Division President. Presenters at the conference include WithersRavenel Stormwater Engineer Ross Perry, PE, who will join Michael Barnes of Oldcastle for a presentation on “How Amazon Managed Stormwater Runoff.” Also, WR’s Brandon Miller will lead a session on “Planning for Intensifying Storms Along the Carolina Coast.”
