Park and Recreation Month focuses on telling, creating stories

A poster of North Carolina park projects designed by WithersRavenel that people can visit during Park and Recreation MonthJuly marks Park and Recreation Month, an annual recognition and celebration of the impact that parks have on our communities and our lives.

The National Recreation and Park Association has identified the theme for the month as “Our Park and Recreation Story.” WithersRavenel is excited to celebrate Park and Recreation Month. We’ll be sharing stories involving our Parks and Recreation Department staff along with our project work in communities across North Carolina.

We encourage you to visit the parks listed in the accompanying graphic in July and throughout the year to see our work in person and to enjoy beautiful facilities in great communities.

WithersRavenel is one of the only licensed landscape architectural firms that has a studio dedicated to parks and recreation projects. Our employee-owned company offers a committed design experience through our dedicated staff, with the backing of associated services through our multidisciplinary engineering firm.
