WithersRavenel joins solid waste workforce at Asheville conference

Professionals whose work involves the solid waste industry are gathering in Western North Carolina for an important annual event.

The SWANA 2019 Quad State Conference is Aug. 27-30 at the Crowne Plaza Asheville. Highlights of the event include a golf outing, panel discussions, tours of New Belgium Brewing and Buncombe County waste facilities, a young professionals event, and opportunities to network, learn and socialize.

WithersRavenel will be conducting a remote sensing demonstration at the Buncombe County Landfill 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 27. Our FAA-certified pilots Seth Swaim and Travis Howell will be on-hand showing how remote sensing benefits our clients and how it can enhance your solid waste program.

Also, WithersRavenel Public Sector Services Director Cameron Patterson, PE, will take part in a panel discussion on the application of drones to the industry on Aug. 29.

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Quad State Region encompasses The Carolinas, Tennessee and Virginia. Be sure to come visit WithersRavenel’s booth, and we look forward to seeing you in Asheville!
