22 Sep WithersRavenel’s Clark Maness honored with young professional award
Utilities Project Manager Clark Maness, PE, has been honored by the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NC) with the Young Professional of the Year award.
Clark has worked at WithersRavenel since 2017. He acquired his Professional Engineer’s license in 2018, and was first promoted to Assistant Project Manager, and then full Project Manager in 2020. Clark leads multidisciplinary teams on water and wastewater plant projects, as well as water and sewer line projects. WithersRavenel supervisors recognize Clark’s dedication to his work, his excellence in overall project management, and his willingness to give extra effort to bring success to our projects and provide our clients with outstanding customer service.
ACEC/NC selected Clark and one other winner for the Young Professional honor after considering many applicants during a rigorous process.
“I am honored to receive this award and honestly feel that this award is not just for me but for WithersRavenel as a whole,” Clark said. “There has been a lot of effort put into my career by many mentors and colleagues over the past few years that led me to be considered for this award. Clark’s professional interests include membership in the American Water Works Association – Water Environment Federation (NC-AWWA-WEA). He has also taught classes across the state for the North Carolina Rural Water Association on Variable Frequency Drives, Pump Station Analysis, and Drone Survey. His volunteer involvement includes service with Interfaith Food Shuttle in Raleigh, and Saint Luke United Methodist Church in Sanford.
Academically, Clark has earned a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
