Amanda Whitaker has been promoted to Director of Funding at WithersRavenel. In this role, she will oversee WithersRavenel’s grant and loan applications and administration for clients across North Carolina.
A longtime grant writer and administrator, Amanda has worked with state, federal, and other agencies on many projects. She has successfully written and administered grants for economic development, neighborhood stabilization, housing rehabilitation, parks and recreation, public infrastructure, and downtown revitalization. Amanda also previously served as an economic development director for Montgomery County. She will bring that experience, leadership, and project management ability to her new position.

Amanda has been working with WithersRavenel since 2018. She has a Masters of Public Administration degree with a Community and Economic Development concentration from UNC Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Justice and Law concentration from North Carolina State. She has also received training in a variety of funding mechanisms, including Community Development Block Grants (CDBG).
