If you live in California, please see the section below entitled “Notices to California Residents,” which provides notices of certain rights you may have under California law.
In addition, except as described in the “Notices to California Residents” section, this policy does not apply to Personal Information (defined below) about our employees, contractors or individuals associated with companies with whom we have a business relationship.
What is Personal Information?
However, we do not consider information to be “Personal Information” if it has been anonymized or aggregated with information about other people such that it is not possible to identify the individuals from the information.
Personal Information We Collect
The Site collects personal information in four ways:
FIRST, our Contact page allows you to send us a message by typing your first and last name and email address.
SECOND, each web page contains a link allowing you to provide your email address in order to be added to our mailing list.
THIRD, when you visit the Site, our computer servers record the “IP Address” associated with your computer or mobile device, along with information about what pages you visited and the time of your visit. Your “IP Address” is a long number that differentiates your device from other devices on the internet and allows the Site to communicate with that device. Because an IP address can sometimes be tracked back to an individual person, some countries or states consider IP addresses to be personal information.
How We Use Personal Information
If you provide us your name and email address on our Contact page, we will use that information to respond to your request. If you provide us with your email address to sign up for our mailing list, we will use that information to sign you up for our mailing list.
We use IP Addresses we collect to monitor and improve the performance and content of the Site. IP Addresses sometimes allow us to deduce the general geographic area of site visitors and to deduce the internet service providers used by those individuals. In certain cases, we may decide to disallow access to the Site from specific IP Addresses if, for example, somebody using that IP Address has tried to compromise the security of the Site.
How Long We Store Personal Information
We will keep personal information provided through our Contact page for so long as it is necessary to respond to your communications or to take action in response to your communications. If you provide your email address in order to be added to our email list, then we will keep your email address until you unsubscribe from that list. In some cases, we may need to retain this information to comply with a law or with the requirements of our insurers. Further, In addition, we and our vendors periodically archive information stored in our computer systems in case those systems suffer some sort of outage. These backups may be stored for up to five years.
How We Share Personal Information
We use personal information only for internal purposes and do not sell it. However, we may provide personal information to various service providers or use service providers to collect personal information. When we do so, we require those service providers to only use to serve our needs and to only disclose the personal information to us.
