WithersRavenel is proud to announce that Gary Warner, ASLA, AICP, has been promoted to Senior Director of Design & Planning.
Located in our Downtown Raleigh office, Gary will oversee all facets of our planning, parks and recreation and landscape architecture studios, managing general project delivery methods, interacting with our clients’ communities, and serving as an inspirational and technical resource. Gary’s approach to collaborative design and our open office mix of engineers, landscape architects, planners, environmental scientists, surveyors and funding specialists allows WithersRavenel to enhance our project delivery techniques to our clients.
With a passion for creative projects in the public realm, Gary specializes in the planning and design of public places across North Carolina. He has received recognition as a specialist in the design of inclusive play areas for children of varying abilities. Additionally, he holds expertise with master planning, land development, public facilitation and workshops, open space design, construction details, and urban landscapes, and has experience managing complex, multi-discipline projects.
Gary has been a part of the WithersRavenel team for three years. He is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect in six states, a Certified Planner, and holds certification with the Council of Landscape Architecture Registration Board. Additionally, he is a member of the national and local chapters of American Society of Landscape Architects and the American Planning Association. He holds a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech.
