On Friday, the Senior PM group took their bi-weekly meeting to Wilmington, where they had an opportunity to speak one-on-one with Wilmington Chamber of Commerce CEO Natalie Haskins English. She spoke about the role of the Chamber in advocating for business and steering public policy, and how the Chamber is a champion of economic development as a team sport. The Chamber also aims to be a regional facilitator, doing more with member counties and surrounding cities to show them all that Wilmington has to offer. Natalie is extremely energetic, passionate, positive, refreshing, and willing to challenge the status quo, and she drove home the benefits of collaboration among businesses and local governments.
Many thanks to Natalie and the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce for helping us to better understand how we can work together to shape our communities. If we had to do it again, there’s no doubt we would Choose Cape Fear.
