Residents of Moore County will find it easier to access the solid waste collection site in Aberdeen, thanks to site improvements and service enhancements at the facility.
A recent ribbon cutting at the County facility marked its official opening. The expanded collection site improves the traffic flow, allowing residents to enter and exit the facility more efficiently while dropping off household waste and recyclables.
WithersRavenel provided site design services to mitigate traffic congestion for residents using the facility. Our firm also provided a range of professional services for the project, including civil engineering, design, survey, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), environmental, permitting, construction administration services, and overall project management.
The project was performed in multiple phases, from due diligence through preliminary design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. Our teaming partners on the project included a solid waste specialist and an architect.
WithersRavenel is proud of our long-term relationship with Moore County, including recent work on an expansion to the County Courthouse. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with County Staff to improve services for community members.
