Parks and recreation directors from across North Carolina will converge on the Triangle this week for an annual conference.
The theme for the 2019 North Carolina Parks and Recreation Directors Conference is “Elevating Equity.” WithersRavenel employees and other attendees will gather Feb. 6-8 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center at Research Triangle Park.
The conference is an education and networking event, bringing municipal and county parks and recreation directors together to share ideas on addressing problems and taking advantage of opportunities for improvement.
The keynote address will take place at the opening night banquet on Wednesday. WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner will discuss “What to Expect and How to Prepare Our Parks in a Changing Climate.” Other speakers will also present sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, as more than 100 parks and recreation directors and countless vendors attend the conference.
WithersRavenel will have a display in the Exhibit Hall throughout the day on Thursday. We look forward to seeing you at the 71st annual North Carolina Parks and Recreation Directors Conference!
