WithersRavenel recently hosted a Pavement Preservation Lunch & Learn in Lexington, North Carolina, bringing together public works professionals, engineers, and municipal leaders to explore new solutions for roadway maintenance. The highlight of the session was a live demonstration of the PressurePave® system.
Developed and patented by Donelson Construction, the PressurePave® system combines crack sealing and a thin asphalt overlay in a single application, reducing traffic disruptions, cutting costs compared to traditional mill-and-overlay methods, and extending pavement life up to 15 years. Roads can often reopen within 30 minutes, making the system both efficient and durable.
Backed by decades of civil, mining, and mechanical engineering experience, the Donelson family has built a reputation for creating innovative pavement preservation solutions that maximize pavement life while minimizing life-cycle costs for public and private agencies.
This Lunch & Learn is part of WithersRavenel’s ongoing effort to share best practices and emerging technologies in pavement preservation. Another demonstration event is already being planned, with more details to come.
Beyond events, WithersRavenel has surveyed and rated more than 30,000 centerline miles of municipal roads across the Southeast, applying proven methodologies to help communities make data-driven decisions. By pairing condition assessments with tailored repair recommendations and pavement management software, our teams help clients stretch budgets and extend the life of their road networks.
At the end of the day, our Pavement Management services are about combining innovation, planning, and proactive strategies to deliver safer, longer-lasting roads for communities.
