When the weeklong SAS Championship in Cary kicks off Oct. 5, it will be celebrating 20 years of giving and golf.
From Friday, Oct. 9, to Sunday, Oct. 11, the Prestonwood Country Club is where the golf action will be as top names in the sport battle for one of the largest purses on the PGA Tour.
But before the legends tee off Oct. 9, as part of the Championship events, there will be other community activities away from Prestonwood, including the virtual Executive Women’s Day.
WithersRavenel is a big supporter of children’s literacy and the YMCA of the Triangle’s work among local communities. Once again, we are honored to be part of the SAS Championship as a sponsor at the golf tournament and the Executive Women’s Day.
Since it began two decades ago, the Championship has donated more than $5 million to support the YMCA of the Triangle and its Y Learning program. The standardized tutorial program benefits thousands of the area’s students in Grades K-8.
The SAS Championship will be closed to public because of the pandemic, but you will still be able to catch the action from home on the Golf Channel.
For the seventh year, organizers are holding the Executive Women’s Day during the week of the Championship. The virtual program focuses on “Resolve: A Pivot on Priorities.” The keynote speaker is Valorie Burton, a national bestselling author, life strategist, and CEO of the Coaching and Positive Psychology (CaPP) Institute.
Executive Women’s Day 2020 will kick off at 11 a.m. Oct. 6. Get more details on how to participate virtually here.
