Each year the Business Environmental & Safety Training (BEST) Conference, hosted by the Wake County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), brings together public safety professionals, industrial firms, and vendors to share information about challenges and solutions related to emergency response. The conference offers interactive sessions on 20 different topics and an opportunity for open dialogue with direct feedback.
WithersRavenel is a regular attendee of this informative conference, and we were honored to be selected to make two presentation this year. FAA-certified remote pilot Travis Howell presented on the capabilities and uses of unmanned aircraft systems, or drones. Stormwater Engineer Jennifer Diaz, PE, and Environmental Scientist Martin Richmond presented on stormwater best management practices.
