
WithersRavenel recently celebrated the completion of the second cohort of its Leadership Academy, a two-year program designed to cultivate leadership skills across all levels of the organization.
The program, offered through WR University, consisted of 12 sessions held every other month. Each session was led by Vistage Master Chair Chris Quinn and featured additional Vistage members who provided coaching on core leadership topics, followed by applied practice conversations.
Purpose and Structure
The Leadership Academy was created as part of WithersRavenel’s ongoing commitment to invest in its employee-owners and strengthen leadership throughout the company. Participants included executives, Practice Area Leads (PALs), Senior Delivery Officers, and Business Development professionals.
Reflecting on her experience, Lena Richards, Director of Communications and Branding, shared:
“During the Vistage Leadership Academy course, the main takeaway was that leaders at all levels regularly need continuing education to hone and improve their skills. The course combined hands-on soft skills training with tangible, take-home materials that could be referenced and passed to emerging leaders. My professional development was drastically enhanced throughout this two-year program, providing me with new skills and mechanisms to implement into my team.”
