As North Carolina’s coastal region continues to grow, WithersRavenel is also ramping up service offerings at our Wilmington office.
Surveying and Construction Observation are two of the newest services now provided directly from our coastal office. With our already robust offerings in Land Development, Environmental, Utilities and GIS, these additions mean we can respond quickly to our clients’ needs on a variety of levels.
Coastal region surveying projects will be managed by Owen Gidlow, PLS. A veteran surveyor with 36 years of experience, Gidlow is capable of providing GPS surveying, high-definition laser scanning, and aerial photogrammetry as well as conventional surveying. He also has experience with hydrographic and bridge surveys, a necessity for coastal work.
Also performing surveying work out of Wilmington is Connor Lee. In addition to providing GPS and conventional surveying, Lee is licensed as an FAA Part 107 Pilot, and can provide Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Services to public and private clients.
Construction Observation services on the coast will be provided by Daniel Terry. A graduate of UNC Wilmington, Terry provides comprehensive services to public and private clients as a Resident Project Representative. He can review project schedules and applications for payment; recommend proposed change orders, work change directives, and field orders; verify that material and equipment certificates, operation and maintenance manuals, and other data required by the specifications have been provided; and participate in substantial and final completion inspections.
