Professionals whose work involves the solid waste industry are gathering in Western North Carolina for an important annual event.
The SWANA 2019 Quad State Conference is Aug. 27-30 at the Crowne Plaza Asheville. Highlights of the event include a golf outing, panel discussions, tours of New Belgium Brewing and Buncombe County waste facilities, a young professionals event, and opportunities to network, learn and socialize.
WithersRavenel will be conducting a remote sensing demonstration at the Buncombe County Landfill 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 27. Our FAA-certified pilots Seth Swaim and Travis Howell will be on-hand showing how remote sensing benefits our clients and how it can enhance your solid waste program.
Also, WithersRavenel Public Sector Services Director Cameron Patterson, PE, will take part in a panel discussion on the application of drones to the industry on Aug. 29.
