Health and safety leaders from throughout the state will be gathering at a conference in eastern North Carolina.
The Eastern Carolina Safety & Health Conference will be June 19-21 at the Hilton Greenville. A variety of professionals from engineering, business and industrial backgrounds will be in attendance.
WithersRavenel’s Seth Swaim and Travis Howell will present a session on drone safety at 1 p.m. June 20. Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) already provide safety benefits for businesses by providing them with photogrammetry and LiDAR of projects, often from vantage points that are difficult to access. As leaders at WR and experts in drone use and technology, Swaim and Howell will share safety knowledge and insights gained from their field experience and work developing UAS-based solutions for clients.
The conference is a joint effort of the North Carolina Department of Labor, East Carolina University and eastern NC industry.
