WithersRavenel congratulates Lindsay Mize, PE, on his promotion to Director of Utilities, Treatment. Lindsay has more than 36 years of experience as a professional engineer, working with both private consulting firms and North Carolina municipal agencies. His background in water and wastewater project development and management has helped facilitate growth in communities throughout the Triangle.
Lindsay led the South Granville Water and Sewer Authority for more than a decade, and since its inception. The authority ultimately had more than 40 employees, an annual budget of $12 million, and served nearly 20,000 people.
When he joined WithersRavenel a little more than a year ago, Lindsay started working increasingly on treatment plant projects with our utilities engineers involved with those initiatives.
Given his background, he enjoys working on such projects, and he is happy to take on the new responsibility. As the director, he will oversee all WithersRavenel’s treatment plant services, collaborating with a group of talented engineers, and working with clients across the state to ensure their needs are met.
“I like working with the clients and I like being out in the field,” Lindsay said. “Moreover, the team we have is an outstanding group of people, and we make a good team working together.”
Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering Technology from North Carolina State University. Much of Lindsay’s spare time is spent with his family, which includes four daughters, four granddaughters, and a grandson. He also enjoys a variety of outdoors activities.
