WithersRavenel employees took to the streets of Raleigh to raise money in memory of a beloved Wolfpack coach and her fight against cancer.
The fourth annual Kay Yow Cancer Fund Celebration Run/Walk took place Feb. 22 on the campus of N.C. State. The event was a 4K, about 2.5 miles, with a mini-K option as well. The annual event raised more than $61,200, well exceeding its goal of $50,000, as hundreds of runners and walkers turned out.
Kay Yow was a basketball coach for 38 years, most of that time at N.C. State. She recorded more than 700 wins and is a member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Yow was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987, but continued to lead the Wolfpack for many years. She died in 2009.
WithersRavenel is proud to be a financial sponsor of this fundraiser. We support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and were happy to see a great showing at the annual run/walk!
