Golfers from Johnston County and across the Triangle came together Oct. 23 for an event to help fund an inclusive playground that recently opened in Clayton.
The 6th Annual Clayton Community Recreational Foundation (CCRF) Golf Tournament benefited the Harmony Playground in East Clayton. Hosted by the Neuse Golf Club, the event drew scores of participants who took to the links for a great cause. WithersRavenel employees proudly participated in the event to benefit the new playground.
Harmony Playground at East Clayton Community Park aims to provide a unique experience for children and families. Its inclusive design invites children of all abilities to come together to play. Also, its combination of active, passive and sensory play areas offers families a variety of options.
Groundbreaking for the playground took place in October 2019. The site officially opened with a ribbon cutting Oct. 22, but fundraising continues for the project. If you would like further information on the playground or wish to donate, click here.
