United Parcel Service (UPS) purchased a series of parcels in the City of Mebane to create a new UPS distribution center. The 500,000+ SF primary facility anchors a development with several additional support structures, trailer storage, and associated employee parking. The investment of more than $300 million in eastern Alamance County is anticipated to support more than 1,000 jobs upon full employment.
As a subconsultant to the project architect, WithersRavenel provided civil engineering services, including irrigation drawings and specifications, to obtain all required site permits and construct all site improvements. We also delivered a range of stormwater engineering and design services, bidding and contract documents, and construction administration.
Our team also provided planning services to allow for future expansion of the truck parking facilities, and design and permitting for offsite roadway, drainage, and utility improvements.
