The Town of Maiden owns and operates a 1.0 million gallons per day (MGD) WWTP. The WWTP has some known operational inefficiencies, such as the headworks not having a bypass channel, which the Town would like to remedy. Additionally, the Town intends to expand the WWTP to accommodate future industrial growth.
WithersRavenel completed an assessment report and CIP for the Town to use to plan for the future. The assessment report is based on data and information gathered during site visits, including evaluation of existing processes, equipment, and a capacity analysis. The CIP lists and discusses needed improvement and expansion projects on a 20-year timeline. The list includes opinions of probable construction cost, and is structured to consider grant and loan funding possibilities.
