It also contains information about how we deal with personal information about California residents. Otherwise, this Privacy Policy does not otherwise describe our privacy practices with regard to the day-to-day operating of our business or personal information about our customers, employees, vendors or other third parties, or information that we collect on behalf of our customers.

You should consult those other websites’ privacy policies. In particular, the Site contains links to our recruiting portal which is operated by one of our vendors. Before submitting information through that portal, you should review the vendor’s privacy policy.
In addition, except as described in the “Notices to California Residents” section, this policy does not apply to Personal Information (defined below) about our employees, contractors or individuals associated with companies with whom we have a business relationship.
As used in this Privacy Policy, “we,” “our” and “us” refer to WithersRavenel, Inc., a North Carolina (USA) corporation, and “you” and “your” refer to visitors to the Site.
What is Personal Information?
“Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy refers to information that identifies a specific individual, which can be used to distinguish an individual from other individuals, or that relates to or describes an identified individual. In general, a person’s name, address, email address and telephone number are all Personal Information.
However, we do not consider information to be “Personal Information” if it has been anonymized or aggregated with information about other people such that it is not possible to identify the individuals from the information.
Personal Information We Collect
The Site collects personal information in four ways:
FIRST, our Contact page allows you to send us a message by typing your first and last name and email address.
SECOND, each web page contains a link allowing you to provide your email address in order to be added to our mailing list.
THIRD, when you visit the Site, our computer servers record the “IP Address” associated with your computer or mobile device, along with information about what pages you visited and the time of your visit. Your “IP Address” is a long number that differentiates your device from other devices on the internet and allows the Site to communicate with that device. Because an IP address can sometimes be tracked back to an individual person, some countries or states consider IP addresses to be personal information.
FOURTH, when you visit the Site, we store small pieces of data called “cookies” in your web browser. These cookies allow us and a small group of companies that provide us with services related to the Site, to store information about you and your use of the site. How We Use Personal Information
If you provide us your name and email address on our Contact page, we will use that information to respond to your request. If you provide us with your email address to sign up for our mailing list, we will use that information to sign you up for our mailing list.
We use IP Addresses we collect to monitor and improve the performance and content of the Site. IP Addresses sometimes allow us to deduce the general geographic area of site visitors and to deduce the internet service providers used by those individuals. In certain cases, we may decide to disallow access to the Site from specific IP Addresses if, for example, somebody using that IP Address has tried to compromise the security of the Site.
How Long We Store Personal Information
We will keep personal information provided through our Contact page for so long as it is necessary to respond to your communications or to take action in response to your communications. If you provide your email address in order to be added to our email list, then we will keep your email address until you unsubscribe from that list. In some cases, we may need to retain this information to comply with a law or with the requirements of our insurers. Further, In addition, we and our vendors periodically archive information stored in our computer systems in case those systems suffer some sort of outage. These backups may be stored for up to five years.
How We Share Personal Information
We use personal information only for internal purposes and do not sell it. However, we may provide personal information to various service providers or use service providers to collect personal information. When we do so, we require those service providers to only use to serve our needs and to only disclose the personal information to us.
We may disclose information regarding the use of our Site and the IP addresses associated with visitors to the Site to our technology service providers who help us administer and maintain the Site.
Where We Collect and Process Personal Information
The computer servers on which the Site operate are located in the United States and our business operations are also located in the United States. All Personal information collected by the Site will be stored and processed in the United States. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you should be aware that, as of the date of this Privacy Policy, the relevant European authorities have determined that the United States does not adequately protect personal information of people located in the European Union.
Our Legal Basis for Processing Personal Information
In general, we rely on your consent to collect and use your personal information. When you send us a message through our Contract page, you are consenting to our receiving that message, taking action based on that message, storing that message and communicating with you about your message. Similarly, when you ask to be added to our mailing list, you are consenting to our using your email address to send you messages.
We collect and use IP addresses in order to fulfill our legitimate interest in maintaining and operating the Site.
Information About Children
Our Site is not intended for use by children under the age of thirteen and we do not anticipate that it will be of interest to children. If you believe that we have received information about a child under the age of thirteen, please contact us (see “Questions” section, below) and we will delete that information. We do not knowingly collect the Personal Information of anybody under the age of 18.

You have the right to ask us for the personal information we have about you or to erase that information. Notices to California Residents
PLEASE NOTE: This section applies ONLY to people who live in California.
In the 12 months preceding the Effective Date shown at the top of this Privacy Policy, we have collected the information listed in the “Personal Information We Collect” section, above. We have also collected names, business address, business email address and business telephone numbers of individuals associated with companies and governments who we do business with or with whom we have considered doing business. These companies include actual and potential customers, vendors, suppliers and other business partners.
We have collected this information when you have provided it to us (e.g. when you emailed us), or when it was made public through your employer’s public request for proposals, through your employer’s website or through your or your employer’s social media presence. This information is collected so we can decide who to enter into business relationships with and to carry out our obligations under those relationships. None of this information is shared with, or sold to, any third party. We do, however, use services provided by various technology companies, and this information may be stored in their services.

You have the right to ask us about your Personal Information that we collect, use and disclose, how and why we collect it and the categories of third parties to whom we provide it. You also have the right to ask us to delete your Personal Information or to correct it if it is inaccurate. To do so, please email us at . Your email should provide your first and last name, as well as any email addresses which may be associated with your name. to assist us in our search for your personal information, please also tell us why you believe we may have your personal information. We will review your request against our records to verify that you are, indeed, who you say you are and locate any information that we have about you.
In certain situations, we may not be able to accommodate your request to delete your information. For example, we may continue to hold your information if we need it to comply with a legal obligation or require the information to comply with our contractual obligations to you.
You may exercise your rights through an agent. In that case, we will need proof that the agent is authorized to act on your behalf. In general, a notarized power of attorney will be sufficient for this. That power of attorney should be emailed to us at privacy@withersravenel.com.
We will not discriminate or retaliate against you if your exercise any of the rights listed above or any of your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
