As landfills mature, it is often necessary to close portions of the site. Our team can not only design landfill closure caps to meet regulatory minimums, but also develop landfill closure and post-closure strategies that allow for reuse of the closed landfill property in ways that benefit the local community. Properly closed landfills can be used for methane capture and reuse for energy production, repurposed for use as parks or recreation areas, or developed into solar energy collection fields.
