As watersheds become increasingly impervious, there is a growing need to develop more comprehensive programs to effectively manage the quantity and quality of stormwater runoff. WithersRavenel has addressed this need at every scale and level of government, from small projects targeting a specific drainage issue to master planning for an entire drainage basin or town, and from Phase I and Phase II NPDES communities to small communities with no mandated program requirements. In every case, we work closely with the client to provide customized solutions to meet their specific objectives.
For clients facing budgetary challenges, WithersRavenel offers support throughout the grant application and administration process. We have helped communities acquire grant funds from multiple agencies, including the North Carolina Coastal Federation, the NC Ecological Enhancement Program, the NC Division of Water Resources, and the Clean Water Management Trust Fund. Our grant-funded work has ranged from drainage improvement projects to stream restorations to stormwater mapping and planning at the watershed scale.
