Senior Project Manager Robbie Oldham, PE, LEED AP has been promoted to the position of Vice President and Principal Consultant by WithersRavenel. This recognition reflects Robbie’s tireless and successful efforts to advance the objectives of our firm and his commitment to our clients and their success as he continues to do so particularly through his work with Chatham Park in Pittsboro, NC.
Robbie joined our firm in August 1998 as a Project Manager in the Land Development Department and has managed major land development projects throughout the state. Through his hard work, determination, leadership, and unique ability to understand client, company, and project needs even beyond engineering, he has delivered successful projects time and time again. He became a Senior Project Manager and a WithersRavenel shareholder in 2005.
In 2012, Robbie started work on Chatham Park, a 7,100-acre mixed-use development located in Pittsboro by Preston Development Company. Chatham Park is envisioned as a comprehensive live-work-play community that is approved for up to 22,000 residential dwelling units and 22 million square feet of non-residential development. WithersRavenel is providing full-service engineering, environmental, geomatics, planning, stormwater, and utility services for Chatham Park, including residential, commercial, and roadway projects.
Since 2012, Robbie’s role has grown from managing initial roadway and utility projects to becoming the Chatham Park Principal Consultant for WithersRavenel; in this capacity he oversees a diverse array of planning, permitting, and engineering efforts. Robbie’s role has also expanded to include overall project entitlement and management for Chatham Park, where he works closely with local citizens and officials and consults on other facets of Chatham Park with other consultants, developers, and stakeholders.
Robbie was also instrumental in opening a new WithersRavenel office in Pittsboro to better serve Preston Development Company and began working in downtown Pittsboro in 2015. In 2016 WithersRavenel relocated its Pittsboro operations to a new office space within Chatham Park that is managed by Robbie.
Robbie’s dedication and work represents the rare opportunity of a consultant partnering closely and continuously with a developer, and it reflects the long-term commitment that WithersRavenel has made to both our client, Preston Development Company, and their Chatham Park project.
