WithersRavenel congratulates Nina Caraway, PE, on her promotion to Director of Utilities, Master Planning. Nina, with more than 10 years of experience, has been leading and working on utilities projects by providing a planning roadmap that involves working closely with GIS, Funding and Asset Management, Utilities engineers, and the WithersRavenel Technology team.
The Master Planning team brings understanding, knowledge, foundation, and analysis that provides a wider systems view. The team strives to understand client assets and systems, and their performance, how they’re currently operating, their remaining lifecycle, and then strategizing what the future system should look like to produce optimal results.
In her new role as Director of Utilities, Water/Wastewater Master Planning, Nina wants to break down silos by finding innovative ways to continually support clients and their needs, given how rapidly the industry and technologies are changing.
“We want to help support our clients in a way that’s going to be continuous and realistic and reproducible for them,” she said. “We want to incorporate all of these emerging technologies and continue to be true to our engineering roots, while also creating efficiencies.”
Nina has a B.E./B.A. in Civil Engineering and Music from Vanderbilt University and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. When Nina’s not working, she is kept busy by her two children, Jack and Callum. In her free time, she likes to go rock climbing. When she gets the chance, she also plays the double bass with the Raleigh Civic Chamber Orchestra or the Triangle Youth Ballet.
Please join us in congratulating Nina on her promotion!
