Each year, the Triangle Business Journal honors the best and brightest young community and business leaders in the region with their 40 Under 40 awards.
WithersRavenel is proud to share that Tucker McKenzie, PE, Practice Area Lead for our Site/Civil team, was selected as one of TBJ’s 2023 honorees. Tucker and the other 39 young professionals from the Triangle will be formally recognized at a celebration on June 29 at Fletcher Opera Theater in Raleigh.
Tucker is responsible for leading project delivery and processes for WithersRavenel’s commercial, industrial, multi-family, and assisted living efforts throughout North Carolina. While leading and strengthening a rapidly growing team in the Triangle, Wilmington and Charlotte markets, Tucker also developed numerous critical processes that ensure successful project execution and completion, including project delivery, financial tracking, and goals.
In his time away from work, Tucker gives back to his alma mater, Sandhills Community College. Tucker is a member of the Sandhills Engineering Technology Advisory Committee, providing guidance on the curriculum, equipment, and emerging trends to be considered. Tucker strongly advocated for Environmental Engineering specialties (which are being added to the curriculum), providing greater opportunities for education that leads to high-paying jobs.
A resident of Carthage, Tucker is a member of the Moore County Planning Board as well as the Moore County Board of Adjustment. Additionally, through his church, Carthage Church of God, Tucker has assisted in multiple fundraising projects that benefit his community.
Tucker is the proud husband to his wife, Lauren, and father to his daughter, Laney. He was previously honored by The Pilot newspaper in Moore County as one of its inaugural 20 Under 40 Award winners in 2021.
Please join us in congratulating Tucker on this prestigious recognition! If you want to put WithersRavenel’s Site/Civil team to work for you, contact Tucker at 919-238-0334 or tmckenzie@withersravenel.com.
