Rod Lovely, PE, IAM, joins the WithersRavenel Funding & Asset Management team in the role of Senior Technical Asset Management Consultant.
Rod has more than 35 years of experience in infrastructure asset management and supporting technologies. He has led the procurement, development, implementation, and management of asset management solutions for dozens of organizations, public and private, across a variety of asset classes throughout the USA and Canada.
His leadership roles have focused on integrating technology, people, and business processes toward a common goal. He has brought together diverse groups of stakeholders, including management, staff, partners, developers, and professional colleagues, through all aspects of the project delivery cycle. His work encompasses technical scoping, design, development, project management, enterprise implementation, and ongoing support services.

Rod’s notable past achievements include serving as the Chief Information Officer at SEA Consultants (now part of Kleinfelder), founder of VUEWorks (an EAM solution), and serving as the North American Solutions Director for Assetic (now part of Brightly Software, formerly Dude Solutions).
He is a Certified International Asset Management Professional and holds a BAMI-I Certificate of Training in Asset Management and a Virginia Tech Certification in Sustainable Water Infrastructure Asset Management.
Over the years Rod has held memberships in the American Public Works Association (APWA) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF). He was Chair of the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) Asset Management Committee from 2010 to 2013. More recently, he joined the US Technical Advisory Committee to ISO TC 251 (where ISO 55000 is the international standard for asset management).
Originally hailing from Vermont, Rod studied in New York, earning his Associate of Science in Surveying from Paul Smith’s College and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University. He received his Professional Engineer license in 1991.
