Serving Western North Carolina communities: Alison Alexander joins WithersRavenel as Client Experience Manager
WithersRavenel welcomes Alison Alexander as a new Client Experience Manager based out of our Asheville office.
For nearly two decades, Alison has served in city and county management in the Carolinas, for communities ranging in size from 2,200 to 165,000 residents, giving her a keen awareness of the challenges that face North Carolina communities. Serving in Waynesville as Assistant Town Manager, she was appointed as Town Manager of Laurel Park (Henderson County), and then recruited as Deputy County Administrator for one of the fastest growing counties in the country, Lancaster County, South Carolina. Alison most recently returned to North Carolina as Assistant County Manager for Catawba County.
With her unique background in local government, Alison understands and is ready to work with our public sector clients on a range of projects, from funding and finance to engineering, grants, planning, and asset management. She understands the challenges community leaders face with financial constraints, staff capacity, and service demands.
“Local government is the frontline of public service,” Alison said. “I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and use the skills and abilities I have developed over the past two decades, coupled with the expertise of the team at WithersRavenel, to help your local government better serve its community.”
A native of Western North Carolina, raised in Franklin, Alison received both a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degree and bachelor’s degree in English from Western Carolina University, and remains actively engaged with the program and university. Given her love of the mountains, it’s not unusual to find Alison on a hiking trail or on her paddleboard on a local waterway.
Please join us in congratulating Alison and welcoming her to our team of employee-owners! Do you want to put WithersRavenel’s team to work in your community? Contact Alison at (828) 342-5026 or firstname.lastname@example.org
