Making Connections
Connections made by our parks and greenway projects strengthen people’s relationship with the natural environment, cultural history, and to each other. They provide opportunities for communities to come together in equitable spaces. They connect residents to community destinations, and foster connections between communities. From system plans to site-specific design, our projects make connections.
Healthy Living
The health of a community and its residents is enhanced by quality parks and greenways. Access to natural areas and open spaces are critical to mental health, while athletic facilities provide opportunities for physical development and life lessons through competition. Our projects advance community public health goals.
Resiliency
Incorporating sustainable design principles into our work contributes to community resiliency. By integrating innovative stormwater management solutions, using local and native materials, and protecting natural systems our projects address the influence of climate change. Our park and greenway projects also contribute to a community’s economic resiliency by enhancing quality of life.
Diverse and Meaningful Experiences
From nature-based recreation to inclusive play environments, community gatherings, sporting events or a simple walk in the woods, our parks and greenways create meaningful experiences. Whether we are preparing a parks and greenway system master plan, planning a nature preserve or designing an urban pocket park, our projects reflect our beliefs and roles as stewards of nature and advocates for the community.
