The Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) has once again recognized WithersRavenel with its annual Well Workplace Award. The 2022 honor as one of the healthiest companies in the U.S. follows recognition in 2021.
WELCOA cited WithersRavenel as a Gold Well Workplace. According to WELCOA, In a Well Workplace Award winning organization, the vision of protecting and enhancing the health and well-being of each and every employee becomes part of the very fabric of the organization not something extraneous and peripheral to the core business functions.”
WithersRavenel’s wellness programming is led by our Thrive Wellbeing Committee. The group includes representatives from each department, and members evaluate employee participation and interest in current wellness activities while also generating ideas for new or expanded services. Also, WithersRavenel seeks employee feedback on our programming, making adjustments as needed. In addition to physical health, our wellness initiatives also address mental/emotional and financial well-being.
“We are grateful for this WELCOA award and believe it reflects the emphasis we put on both our client and employee experiences,” said Jim Canfield, PE, President and CEO of WithersRavenel. We believe it all begins with healthy and engaged teammates that results in meaningful and memorable experiences for our clients. We’re also proud to offer a variety of topics and activities that cover the full spectrum of wellness, to encourage our teammates to optimize their health and well-being.
WithersRavenel’s wellness initiatives include health-plan related services; lunchtime yoga, running and walking groups, and company athletic teams; health and social media campaigns; micro-training programs; emphasis on emotional/mental health; and financial education programming.
WELCOA measures seven company benchmarks in its rigorous evaluation process: Committed & Aligned Leadership; Collaboration in Support of Wellness; Collecting Meaningful Data; Crafting an Operating Plan; Choosing Initiatives that Support the Whole Employee; Creating Supportive Environments, Policies & Practices; and Conduct Evaluation, Communicate, Celebrate & Iterate.
