WithersRavenel partnered with Pappas Properties to deliver a thoughtful and sustainable site design for a new development. This development, tentatively named “Crabtree Village,” is located near the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC. Since 2020, our team has worked through many versions of the site plan. We faced challenges like limited space, steep hills, and shallow bedrock.
Through our Landscape Architecture, Mixed-Use and Multifamily Development, and Civil Engineering services, we collaborated with the City of Raleigh and project stakeholders to refine a site layout that balances functionality and sustainability. Our site civil design plans, cost analysis, and heat maps helped with decision-making. Our illustrations supported community rezoning meetings.
Despite the complexity of working within retaining walls and constrained developable space, WithersRavenel’s expertise in working with project partners led to a resilient site design for Crabtree Village. We used sustainable solutions to create a development that serves the community’s needs.
