WithersRavenel partnered with Pappas Properties to deliver a thoughtful and sustainable site design for development near Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC, tentatively named “Crabtree Village.” Since 2020, our team has navigated multiple iterations of the site plan, overcoming significant challenges, including limited space, steep topography, and shallow bedrock.
Through our Landscape Architecture, Mixed-Use and Multifamily Development, and Civil Engineering services, we collaborated closely with the City of Raleigh and project stakeholders to refine a site layout that balances functionality and sustainability. Our site civil design plans, cost analysis, and heat maps informed decision-making, while our illustrative sketches supported community rezoning meetings.
Despite the complexity of working within retaining walls and constrained developable space, WithersRavenel’s expertise in coordinating with project partners led to a resilient site design. By integrating sustainable solutions and a strategic approach, we helped shape a development that meets the needs of the client and the community.
