Welcome Venture Park The Acorn UPS Distribution Center Full Portfolio

Welcome Group’s first and largest project outside Texas, the Welcome Venture Park in North Carolina’s Triangle Region, spans 1.3 million square feet across 10 buildings. WithersRavenel provided extensive services, including surveys, environmental assessments, rezoning, and community engagement to support the development and annexation of the site.

The Acorn on Person Street is a multifamily apartment development in downtown Raleigh. With seven stories, more than 100 residential units, and a 200-space shared parking desk, the transformative project includes a fitness center, clubhouse, pool, elevated courtyard, work-from-home center, and a pet spa. The site is just two blocks from the Moore Square area, which includes a popular urban park, more than 30 restaurants, and other Raleigh attractions and destinations.

The 500,000+ SF primary UPS facility anchors a development with several additional support structures, trailer storage, and associated employee parking. As a subconsultant to the project architect, WithersRavenel provided civil engineering services, including irrigation drawings and specifications, to obtain all required site permits and construct all site improvements.

Through the streetscape project downtown Whiteville is able to highlight the historical cultural identity of the area while providing improvements to the area to recreate the downtown square once observed as Vineland Station. This project incorporated the views of the community as well as the master plan for the City to build a product that could not only attract visitors to the area but also provide the community with a gathering place that they could be proud to call home. An enjoyable walk downtown invites the public to shop local observe the natural beauty of the area and make a new friend or catch up with a neighbor. The economic impact of the streetscape plan is evident as the revitalization continues in the downtown area through the addition retention and expansion of small business and mixed-use residential projects. Utilizing streetscape the downtown area in the City of Whiteville is quickly becoming a destination place in Southeastern North Carolina.
