One of the fastest-growing sectors in the Triangle in 2020–2021 is life sciences, including biotechnology and agricultural technology. The Town of Apex is welcoming new life sciences businesses by investing in the 120-acre Cash Corporate Center industrial park. Project Protein represents the first business investment in the larger development.
The project site is approximately 10 acres and is being developed for light industrial/laboratory use. The property is currently vacant and will be accessed via the extension of an existing industrial park roadway.
The proposed $9 million development includes a 30,000 SF industrial building with associated parking, with the inclusion of a potential expansion of approximately 20,000 SF. It will create approximately 35 jobs.
