WithersRavenel welcomes Jon Blasco, PLA, ASLA, as a Senior Project Manager on our Design + Planning team.
A longtime landscape architect, Jon has experience designing and managing complex projects for both public and private clients. From parks and recreation projects to streetscape and commercial development design, his portfolio in the Triangle prepares him well to be a versatile leader at WithersRavenel.
His background also includes experience in permitting, construction oversight, and community engagement. Additionally, he has worked on several projects involving master planning and site design for higher education, multi-family amenity spaces, and public facilities.
Jon is committed to client communication and satisfaction while applying his creative mindset to design and problem-solving. His ability to carry a project from start to finish is complemented by his deadline-driven background and attention to detail.
“I’m excited to join a team of talented designers and a firm that is quickly growing in size and reputation,” Jon said. “I look forward to working with the landscape architecture group to help elevate their craft as well as providing exceptional service to our current and future clients.”
Jon has a Masters of Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University, where he also taught as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice within the Landscape Architecture Department and currently stays involved through design reviews and mentorship. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University, which was the foundation for a 10-year-long career in newspapers.
Jon is active with the Town of Garner, serving multiple terms as chair on the Planning Commission and participating in various planning-related stakeholder groups. In his free time, he enjoys driving and working on his classic cars, travelling with his family, coaching soccer, and visiting new breweries.
Please join us in congratulating Jon and welcoming him to our team of employee-owners! Do you want to put Jon and our landscape architects to work for you? Contact him at (919) 817-5356 or jblasco@withersravenel.com.
