WithersRavenel congratulates Richie Tarby, PLS, on his promotion to Practice Area Lead for Geomatics.
Richie is a licensed professional surveyor with three decades of surveying and project management experience, including time as a project manager at WithersRavenel. His background includes a variety of land development, municipal, traffic engineering, site and vertical construction, and NCDOT work, along with project management services.
In his new role, Richie will provide overall leadership for our geomatics team, ensuring that our clients receive quality deliverables in a timely fashion. He will also guide training and mentorship for our growing geomatics staff.
“I am excited to be a part of a company that values its employees, technology, and serving the community,” Richie said. “I am looking forward to building relationships and growing an already successful team.”
Richie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Resource Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He is also a past president of the North Carolina Society of Surveyors, Triangle Chapter, and a board member of the State Society. Richie enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, travelling, and serving as an instructor for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
