Public works leaders and professionals from across the state are coming together in the Triad for an important annual gathering.
The annual American Public Works Association North Carolina Conference is June 26-28 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem. WithersRavenel is a platinum sponsor of the event.
Keynote speakers for the conference are author Jonathan Fanning, who will discuss “The True Essence of Authentic Leadership”; author Barry Mitsch, who will reveal “Seven Secrets of Great Presentations”; and motivational speaker and author Steve Gilliland, whose session is titled “Enjoy the Ride.”
Other highlights of the conference include an exhibit hall, educational sessions and networking opportunities. Also, the NC-APWA Young Professional Committee will have its second annual Design Build Canned Food Drive Putt-Putt Tournament on June 27. Food donations will go to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC.
The North Carolina APWA aims to enhance the quality of life for everyone by engaging the public works community and citizens through support, education, advocacy and outreach.
