The Swing Racquet + Paddle Project will deliver a world-class racquet and paddle sports facility. A true private-public partnership, Swing Racquet + Paddle will be constructed on 45 acres owned by and leased from the City of Raleigh.
The project will serve as a destination for tournaments and will be one of the single largest sports complexes of this kind in the country, with over one million visitors anticipated annually. The project will help to address significant supply and demand issues for public access to tennis, pickleball, and public park amenities. It will serve as the national campus for Padel, a rapidly growing sport.
The campus will be open to all with public access options, pay-to-play options, dining and entertainment, and membership. It will also house sports technology incubators through a collaboration with North Carolina State University and global brands. Additionally, the project envisions youth outreach programs through sports to drive education and teach life lessons. From early youth through adulthood, Swing envisions something for everyone.
A portion of the project site is reserved as park space, and trails within the project will connect to the Raleigh Greenway system. Park space includes the Grand Lawn, creek corridor, and woodlands on the east side of the creek.
