Clinton Recreation and Parks Comprehensive Master Plan

About This Project

The City of Clinton Recreation and Parks Comprehensive Master Plan will guide the City’s actions over the next decade in the development, growth, and assessment of its park facilities and programs. It will prioritize changes with the biggest impact on health, wellness, and recreation opportunities for citizens.

Our goal for the plan is to identify the current state of the Recreation and Parks Department’s facilities and activities and to make recommendations for improvements, increased efficiencies, and identify trends for the enhancement of delivery of services.

WithersRavenel will perform an assessment of the current bike and pedestrian plan, partnerships, and maintenance efficiencies with the Public Works and Utilities Department. It will also incorporate the impact of the possible future growth along the NC24 corridor.

The master plan will be completed only after a thorough inventory of existing parks, facilities, public input, research on current parks and recreation trends and standards, and finally input and approval of the Recreation Advisory Board and the Clinton City Council. Familiarity with the City’s history, demographics, and future growth is a must in helping this plan be successful.
