WithersRavenel welcomes David Starkel, PE, as a Senior Project Manager for our Site/Civil group.
David will be a leader in our Charlotte office with a focus on industrial, multifamily, and other commercial project types. He brings more than a decade of experience in the local market and will be leading and growing our Charlotte team and service offerings.
WithersRavenel is growing its footprint in the Charlotte area, with the opening of a survey field office. This new location, in addition to our primary location at 201 South Tryon Street, opened in July to provide geomatics services.
The new space, at 8100 Tower Point Drive, Charlotte NC 28227, affords easier access to clients looking to avoid traffic at the Uptown location. While the location started with a focus on geomatics, team members from other disciplines in the Charlotte area work out of this office, and often end up meeting clients.
No project comes up in a vacuum, and no project site is excluded from laws and regulations, be they federal, state, or local. WithersRavenel’s multidisciplinary team stays updated on rules to ensure any project we undertake remains in compliance, including surveying.
For instance, starting on June 1, 2023, under the City of Charlotte’s UDO requirements, all residential projects – including individual residential lots – must comply with drainage and urban forestry requirements.
Protecting the health and safety of people in the workplace is of critical importance. The livelihood of people, businesses, and entire communities depends upon an environment free of contaminants. While exposure to asbestos, lead paint, mold or other contaminants is a critical concern at workplaces, other sites such as homes and schools can face similar exposure risks.
