Enhancing Client Service & Community Advocacy
Our Landscape Architecture practice is deeply committed to client service and community advocacy. Establishing a local presence in Charlotte allows us to engage more seamlessly with clients and communities across the City and surrounding areas. This expansion enhances our ability to tailor solutions. It reflects the distinct character of each community, fostering strong relationships and delivering impactful, sustainable designs.
A Collaborative Approach to Sustainable Solutions
Our Landscape Architecture services are embedded within WithersRavenel’s multidisciplinary Design + Planning practice. This practice integrates Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering. We create holistic, sustainable solutions. This collaborative approach ensures that every project benefits from multiple disciplines’ expertise, delivering long-term results for the communities we serve.
“Multidisciplinary problem-solving is part of our DNA, both within our own group and in collaboration with other practices such as stormwater and environmental specialists,” said WithersRavenel’s Practice Area Lead of Design + Planning Courtney Landoll. “By leveraging this expertise, we create resilient, adaptable solutions that enhance the livability and sustainability of the Charlotte region.”
Meeting the Opportunities & Challenges of a Growing Region
According to a recent analysis from the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, 117 people are moving to the Charlotte Area every day. By 2050, the region is expected to grow by 50%, increasing the area’s population from 3 million to 4.6 million. With this rapid population growth, there are both opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. As urbanization accelerates, it’s critical to approach development with a deep understanding of each community’s unique history and needs.
“The Charlotte metropolitan area is experiencing rapid population growth, accompanied by the challenges and pressures of increased urbanization,” stated WithersRavenel Senior Project Manager Emily Buehrer-Douglas. “Within this dynamic region, each community and neighborhood is distinct. We must avoid a one-size-fits-all approach, working closely with clients and stakeholders to develop custom-tailored solutions that not only meet today’s needs but also position communities for the future.”
