Poised to help municipal clients: Dequenne brings valuable experience to WithersRavenel
WithersRavenel welcomes Damon Dequenne to our firm as a new employee-owner and Client Success Manager.
Damon comes from the City of Winston-Salem, where he most recently served as Assistant City Manager. In addition to supplying leadership to a city of more than 2,500 employees, he had direct oversight for three City departments: Fire, Engineering and Transportation. He also supervised three joint City/Forsyth County departments: Utilities, Emergency Management, Planning and Development Services. Other Winston-Salem roles included Deputy City/County Utilities Director and Utilities Field Operations Manager/GIS System Supervisor.
Additionally, Damon spent time working as a project manager and managing partner for private sector consulting and construction companies. He also served his country in the U.S. Navy.
His varied municipal background will be a benefit to our public sector clients looking for guidance on engineering, planning, transportation, development and other topics. Damon is a strong team builder, who fosters a collaborative spirit while striving for greater operational efficiency for his clients.

Damon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His continuing education includes Municipal/County Administration training through the University of North Carolina School of Government. His professional memberships include the American Public Works Association and American Water Works Association.
Damon and his wife are the parents of four active sons who all enjoy the outdoors. He is also a community volunteer with the Forsyth County Veterans Treatment Court and serves on the Local Emergency Planning Committee as well as the advisory board for Lutheran Services of the Carolinas.
