WithersRavenel has continued its rise among the nation’s leading engineering and design firms, earning the No. 282 spot on Engineering News-Record’s 2026 Top 500 Design Firms list.
The annual ENR ranking recognizes the top engineering firms and design firms in the United States based on revenue. WithersRavenel improved nine spots from last year’s No. 291 ranking, reflecting the continued growth and momentum of our employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering and design firm.
This recognition comes as design firms across the country continue to experience industrywide growth. According to ENR, overall revenue for the Top 500 Design Firms increased 7.4 percent to $158.7 billion, while domestic design revenue rose 8.1 percent to $136.3 billion. ENR also reported that 83.2 percent of firms filing surveys in both years saw revenue increase between 2024 and 2025.
For WithersRavenel, the ranking serves as another marker of the firm’s progress as we continue to expand our services, strengthen our presence across North Carolina and the Southeast, and support both public and private clients with integrated engineering, planning, environmental, geomatics, and consulting expertise.
With more than 460 employee-owners, WithersRavenel provides core services in Asset Management, Environmental, Funding and Finance, Geomatics and Surveying, GIS, Land and Site Development, Planning and Landscape Architecture, Stormwater, and Water and Sewer Utilities. Our commitment to client service is also reflected in our award-winning client experience and our promise to be all in for our clients’ success.
