Charles Brown brings his municipal management experience to WithersRavenel clients
The longtime town manager of Mount Olive, Charles Brown, has joined WithersRavenel, strengthening our Business Development team.
Charles is our newest Client Officer. His 14-year tenure at the helm of a thriving town will help our clients navigate challenging issues related to infrastructure, grants, funding and finance, project management, and customer service.
While managing Mount Olive, Charles was responsible for day-to-day operations of the Town, including budgets totaling more than $8 million. He directed more than $18 million in water, wastewater and other projects during his tenure, while supervising 65 full-time employees. Additionally, he has served on numerous Wayne County and local government commissions and councils related to business, utilities, planning, transportation and economic development.
Also, with many years of prior experience in private sector management and sales, Charles understands the importance of the bottom line to communities and their businesses and industries. His background also includes service in the U.S. Army.
Charles has a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University, with additional study at UNC Wilmington’s Academy of Strategic Management.
